From Pond to Pack – Pure, Crunchy & Healthy
At Makcrave, we begin with strong ties to trusted farmers to source the finest quality makhana (foxnuts) directly from natural ponds and fields. Our process ensures that every batch is fresh, clean, and ready for roasting.
Each lot goes through strict quality checks to meet our high standards. Once approved, the makhana are carefully roasted, polished, and packed using food-grade, moisture-proof materials to retain crunch and freshness. From sourcing to final delivery, we focus on hygiene, nutrition, and flavor — so you get only the best, every time.
Collection & Cleaning
Makhana seeds are harvested from ponds and cleaned thoroughly to remove mud and impurities.
Grading & Roasting
Seeds are dried, sorted by size, and roasted in iron pans at 250–300°C.
Tempering (Resting Time)
Roasted seeds are rested for 24–48 hours to soften them and improve popping quality.
Seed Popping
Seeds are roasted again and popped using wooden hammers into fluffy white makhana.
Sorting & Packing
The popped Makhana are polished, sorted by size, and packed in moisture-proof bags to maintain freshness.
